A Orthodontic treatment is the term used to straighten Teeth. There are several ways now to straighten your teeth.

Q Who carries out orthodontic treatment?
A All dentists can carry out basic orthodontic treatment but, for the more complicated treatments patients are referred to a dentist called an Orthodontist.

Q What does the treatment involve?
A The dentist will carry out a full examination of your study models these are needed to start the process of making braces. The dentist will then discuss the possible treatment for you and the time it will take also the amount of appointments needed to complete your treatment.

Q Why should I need orthodontic treatment?
A Many patients have over crowed teeth or crooked teeth this treatment with help with occlusion and your appearance and smile.

Q Will I need to have teeth removed?
A Not always if there isn’t enough space in your mouth you might have to have some teeth extracted but, not always your dentist will discuss this with you.

Q What are invisible braces?
A They are clear trays as shown above. Impressions are taken and several sets of trays are made all slightly different as your treatment progresses you change each tray. Your Orthodontist will tell you when. They are almost clear and most people will not know that you are wearing them. At the end of your treatment you will be given one tray to wear at night to keep your teeth aligned.
